From the Rif to licensed markets: how we work

Moroccan Therapeutics is the trading name of Moroccan International CBD Laboratory Company, a licensed Moroccan producer and exporter of solventless THC and CBD resin. Our mission is to bring Morocco's cannabis heritage into the global pharmaceutical and wellness markets with compliance, consistency and care. We control the chain from cultivation and processing to packaging, compliance and licensed export.

Cultivation in Chefchaouen province

Our cannabis is grown outdoors in Chefchaouen province, in the Rif mountains. Cultivation, drying and storage are covered by the WHO guidelines on Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP): LSQA's Declaration of Conformity PP90/01, Level A, is valid until 18 December 2026 and covers production, storage and drying of Cannabis sativa from Beldia and CBD strains.

The certified operation comprises six production sites of one hectare each, run with two partner cooperatives, with an estimated combined output of around seven tonnes of dry biomass a year. Drying and storage take place at a certified facility operated under our name in the same province.

After harvest

Plants are air-dried and cured naturally to stabilise cannabinoids and aromas. The biomass is then trimmed and cleaned by hand before it enters production. For fresh frozen resin the path is different: plants are frozen immediately after cutting, at −20 °C or lower.

A modern solventless facility

Processing happens at our facility, authorised by ANRAC for the transformation and manufacturing of cannabis (52/A5/0223). The methods are traditional Moroccan sieving brought up to modern standards:

• Clean-room protocols and stainless steel. All product-contact surfaces are stainless steel, and all process water is reverse-osmosis filtered.
• Multi-grade micron screening. Dry sifting runs from 120 down to 45 µm, and ice-water extraction uses micron bags from 220 to 25 µm.
• Equipment. Mechanical pollinators and vibrating sieve tables; the Ecoseparator and Plasmastatic electrostatic systems; low-temperature and vacuum drying ovens; a Harvest Right freeze dryer; mechanical hash presses.
• Cold chain and climate control. Deep freezers at −20 °C, cold-room processing, and controlled storage rooms.

Laboratory control

Cannabinoids are profiled in our on-site HPLC laboratory. Testing is also done in government-authorised laboratories, with independent validation in Switzerland, and every batch has a certificate of analysis. See Quality & Compliance for the licences, test methods and an example laboratory report.

Licensed export

We hold ANRAC's export authorisation (54/A8/0223) and manage logistics in-house, from the regulatory paperwork to controlled packaging and transport, up to the buyer's customs clearance point. Air freight delivery typically takes up to one week. Our exports so far include THC and CBD resin to Switzerland and THC and CBD extracts to Brazil, and we have established export operations to Lesotho.

Where is your cannabis grown?

In Chefchaouen province, in the Rif mountains of northern Morocco. Our cultivation is exclusively outdoor, under the Moroccan sun.

Which varieties do you work with?

The WHO-GACP scope covers Cannabis sativa of the Beldia variety and CBD strains. Beldia is the traditional Moroccan variety; see our guide Beldia: Morocco's heritage cannabis variety.

Which countries have you exported to?

We have exported THC and CBD resin to Switzerland and THC and CBD extracts to Brazil, and we have established export operations to Lesotho.

Are you GMP certified?

No. We are advancing toward EU-GMP certification. For buyers who need EU-GMP material today, conversion is carried out by our partners in Switzerland and Portugal. Our cultivation is covered by the LSQA WHO-GACP Declaration of Conformity PP90/01, Level A.

How long does delivery take?

Air freight delivery typically takes up to one week. We manage the export paperwork and transport up to the buyer's customs clearance point.
