Frozen Resin · Moroccan THC & CBD resin

Dried biomass is held at −20 °C for 48 hours before sifting, then run over 90–45 µm screens in cold-room conditions to limit oxidation. The resin is dried lightly under vacuum and shaped or pressed to the buyer's specification.

Frozen resin in detail: cold sifting for aroma

Frozen resin is our aromatic special edition. The starting material is the same air-dried, cured biomass used for dry resin, but it is deep-frozen before sifting and processed cold, so the resin is exposed to as little oxidation as possible while it is separated.

How frozen resin is made

  1. Deep freezing. Dried biomass is held in a deep freezer at −20 °C for 48 hours before sifting.
  2. Cold sifting. The frozen material is processed in cold-room pollinators or on vibrating sieves over 90–45 µm mesh screens. Working cold minimises oxidation during separation.
  3. Light vacuum drying. The resin is dried lightly in our oven under vacuum.
  4. Finishing to order. It is then shaped or pressed according to the buyer's preference, or left loose.

Where frozen resin fits

Frozen resin sits between classic dry resin and water-extracted Fresh Frozen Resin. It stays a dry, solventless process, and the cold step is there to protect aroma. Because the finish is agreed per order, it suits buyers who need a specific form for their market or their own processing. Our overview of Moroccan resin types compares all five sifted and washed resins side by side.

Every batch has a certificate of analysis, and cannabinoid content is stated per batch. Supply is for licensed buyers only: apply for trade access to see specifications and prices.

What is the difference between frozen resin and fresh frozen resin?

Frozen resin starts from dried biomass that is frozen for 48 hours and then dry-sifted in the cold. Fresh Frozen Resin starts from freshly harvested plants frozen straight after cutting, and is separated in ice water rather than by dry sifting.

Why freeze the material before sifting?

Sifting cold, in cold-room conditions, minimises oxidation of the resin during separation. The aim is a more aromatic resin than standard dry sifting.

Can frozen resin be pressed?

Yes. After light drying under vacuum it can be supplied loose, shaped or pressed, depending on what the buyer specifies.

What micron range is used?

Frozen resin is run over 90–45 µm mesh screens.
